Die Ausstellung "Gone fishing" präsentierte eine Sammlung von Projekten des atelier lesa zum Lebensraum Meer. Die Sehnsucht zum Meer ist Teil des Mainstreams, weckt aber auch die Neugierde, was sich wirklich in dieser Welt verbirgt und befindet.
Ihre Inspiration schöpften die Künstlerinnen Juliane Leitner und Alina Sauter aus Kitsch und populärer Wissenschaft. Als Kreatorinnen verwendeten sie unterschiedliche Module des marinen Ökosystems und bearbeiteten diese in dreidimensionalen und medialen Arbeiten.
"Gone fishing" bezeichnet eine Person, die sich der Ereignisse rund um sie und ihrer Umgebung nicht bewusst ist. Das beschriebene Subjekt hat in diesem Fall eine Auszeit genommen, verbringt die Zeit mit Tagträumen und ignoriert die Menschen und Dinge in ihrem Umfeld. Es bedeutet andererseits auch, das man die Gelegenheit ergreift, und die Starre des Alltags aufbricht und die gewohnten Strukturen verändert.

The exhibition titled "Gone fishing" presented a collection of works that the artists of atelier lesa had created inspired by the sea. Longing for the sea is considered part of the Mainstream, but it also inspires couriousness about the hidden world below the sea surface.
In their works, artists Juliane Leitner and Alina Sauter were inspired by both kitsch and popular science. They incorporated a variety of forms of the marine eco system and shaped them into plastic or media works of art.
"Gone fishing" signifies a person who is not participating in the goings-on of their surroundings. They have taken time off, succumbed to day dreaming and are ignoring the people and objects about them. On the other hand it may signify that one grasps the opportunity to break through the daily grind and change ones habits.

Die Performance fand unter genauer Beobachtung der Nachbarschaft im Garten der Weingartshofstraße 20 statt und dauerte ungefähr 30 Minuten.
Regieanweisung:
Die Akteurin liegt im Gras. Ihr Blick ist in den Himmel gerichtet. Links und rechts von ihr am Körper anliegend befindet sich Tonmasse, nach der sie gut greifen kann. Sie baut daraus eine Form auf ihrer Körpermitte auf. Ihr Blick ist dabei immer in den Himmel gerichtet. Das freie Objekt soll so hoch wie der Akteurin möglich gebaut werden.

The performance took place in the garden of Weingartshofstraße 20 and lasted for 30 minutes.
stage direction:
The participant lies in the grass and looks upwards to the sky. Wet clay is stored on the left and right side of her body which she can reach easily. She starts to build a form at the center of her body meanwhile she focus the sky. The Free-form should be build as high as possible without looking at it.
